I am passionate about working with children, families & couples. I have over 21 years of experience working with families whose children are at risk of an out of home placement, are being reunified, have been recently adopted or are in long term foster placements. I also work with those who have experienced stressful or traumatic life events, exhibit behavioral problems, attachment difficulties, anxiety, depression or grief and loss. Using play therapy, art, and other experiential and talk therapy methods, I support children, families, couples and adults in finding their inner strengths and reaching their true potential.
I enjoy providing mental health consultation & reflective practice supervision to daycare centers, Head Start Centers and home visiting programs. I am currently engaged in an 18-month evidenced based Child Parent Psychotherapy training program, a Developmental Model of Couple Therapy Training program and a Discernment Counseling training program and recently completed a Solution-Oriented Therapy Training. I teach in the marriage and Family Therapy program at Edgewood College and provide individual and group supervision for interns and residents through Edgewood’s MFT Family Center. I facilitate a cancer support wellness group at Gilda’s Club and provide Prepare and Enrich classes to couples through my faith community.
