My Story
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in a variety of mental health settings serving as an advocate, case manager, educator and therapist. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults, having proficiency in both individual and group therapy.
I have substantial experience working with people who have concerns related to anxiety, attention and concentration, body image, communication, depression, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, relationships, self-esteem, stress and unhealthy coping strategies.
In therapy, I work collaboratively with my clients as well as family and natural supports when appropriate. I utilize evidence based practices that are person centered, strength-based and culturally competent. I believe spirituality can be an integral aspect of growth and recovery and am skilled in exploring faith and values to assist with change, if needed. Some of the therapeutic modalities I commonly practice stem from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and play therapy. Overall, I am committed to my client’s growth, am easily able to adapt to my client’s needs and am passionate about offering guidance and support to those in need.
